it chooses you.

This is Miranda July explaining and showcasing her latest book It Chooses You; it's an essential read pre or post watching The Future as it was, in many ways, the reason for and inspiration of the finished film. It's her only published work of non-fiction and is half distracted screen writer confessional, half endearingly uncomfortable but necessary interviews. I read it in under a week, devouring it in only a few days; it's an easy, laughable read that depicts the lives of people we may never know, but really have so much in common with. The human connection of love, life, time and longing.
