drawings.





by sylvia plath. a celebration of her life via ink and paper on this her would be 79th birthday. the drawings are on exhibit at the mayor gallery from the 2nd of november until december 16th. a private collection passed on to sylvia's daughter frieda and kept hidden away until now. the above purple thistle, portrait of a man, two studies of conkers and the view from room 26 of hotel bearn on the left bank in paris are my favourites but you can see more here. frieda has also written an article in this month's vogue uk about living in her mother's shadow. a definite reason to hunt every bookstore in town.
